Labor Day Dining & Gift Certificates

Changing scenery, cooler temperatures, schools’ return, pumpkin spice flavored everything, and football season can mean only one thing. That summer is giving way to fall! So say goodbye to summer and hello to autumn this Labor Day weekend by dining in or ordering takeout from your favorite Thai restaurant in California.

Starting at 11:00 am on Monday, September 6, you can choose from various lunch and dinner menu options from Thai One On in either Carlsbad or Vista.

Satisfy your palate with a Too Specialty or Bill’s Favorite. Other items on the menu include Hot Thai Basil Stir-Fry, Pad Thai, Pineapple Curry, Honey Roasted Duck, and more. You can also choose from an irresistible selection of appetizers, soups, salads, rolls, and desserts.

What is Labor Day?

Positioned between Independence Day and Columbus Day, Labor Day celebrates workers or, more accurately, the achievements and contributions they have made to “America’s strength, prosperity, and well-being” (U.S. Department of Labor).

It was created by labor activists and recognized by individual states, such as New York and Oregon, before becoming a federal holiday in 1894.

Because the holiday is celebrated each year on the first day of September, it creates a three-day weekend, allowing workers to take a break and enjoy the waning days of summer. That is perhaps why many consider Labor Day the unofficial end of summer.

According to The Old Farmer’s Almanac, the autumnal equinox or the first day of fall arrives on Wednesday, September 22 this year.

Enjoy Your Break by Ordering from a Thai Restaurant

Our Vista location is open Sunday through Thursday from 11:00 am to 9:30 pm and on Fridays and Saturdays from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm. This location features a full bar and menu and is open for dine-in, takeout, and delivery.
